  1. Create a Loop option

For those who want to start and stop in the same place, you should create a loop option so they can see how far they could get in a given amount of time (ie. 5-6 days).

  2. sharing a plan

I would love to be able to "share" my plan with hiking partners and family. (Not necessarily give them editing rights but that would be ok.)

  3. 100 Mile Wilderness -

Be able to calculate total gain/loss point to point. This would help with a book time calculation rather than just mile per hour. Elevation adds 30 min per 1000ft in a book calculation!

  6. Add an end date option

For those that are on a time constraint or only have a few days vacation or have to get back to work. It would be cool to chose a start and end date as well. The results would show how far you can get or how fast/slow you'd have to go to finish within your window. Thank you for creating this, it's awesome.

  9. The Front Royal, VA to Harpers Ferry map pdf

Great site. Something strange on the Front Royal, VA to Harpers Ferry map.AT-Front Royal to Harpers Ferry-Feb142016.pdf) The elevation for Bears Den is 1350 but the map line is at 1000? The reason I noticed the error is that I hike Bears Den at least twice a month and the climb up the hill to Bears Den NOBO is painful.

  12. Zero Days

At the beginning of the planner, I put in "every few days" for how many zero days. When I clicked submit, it said that my trip would be 90 days long (from Harpers Ferry to Katahdin) and would have 8 zero days.
Something doesn't add up. Even if I put in "every week" it should be more zero days. Certainly more than 8.

  13. Thank you

I haven't been on the site long enough to give you ideas yet, but I definitely will be. THANK YOU for doing this site. It's already been more helpful in the last hour than anything I've tried as of yet!

  16. Watauga Lake Shelter temporarily closed

The area from Shook Branch to Wilbur Dam is closed to all activity except hiking through due to bear activity. A temporary campsite has been established trail south of Shook Branch. Please add to the site listing. Thank you.

  18. First, this site is a great idea. I have made several edits already. Do you think it would be useful to include information on (see below)

the 31 A.T. maintaining clubs? This would include their names, the sections they maintain, contact info. such as their websites. If so, I can help you with this.
