    I think the SVGs will work perfectly. I want to render the profile from, say, mile 1080 to 1093. Even better would be to overlay that with another similar stretch, for comparison. The SVG looks easy to parse and correlate with real miles/altitudes. Thank you... and thanks again for this awesome site.

    Thanks for the link, that data is very close to what I need. How do you generate your visual elevation profiles? Most data I find is either: mile markers+notable locations or latlongs+elevation. I'd really like to correlate the two types of data, as you've done. I can sort-of calculate the mile marker using gps coords, but it's not very accurate.

    Basically, I want to be able to generate your elevation profiles exactly as they are, except with arbitrary start and end mile markers.
